The workshop consisted of two parts – a one-day presence workshop on September 16, 2019 and individual coaching – each person one hour – at later dates arranged individually. Both the format and the topic “Expression” had previously been voted for by the majority of participants in a proposal sheet provided beforehand by the trainer, Ms. M.A. Elke-Maria Rosenbusch.

A total of 9 female PhD students participated in the presence workshop. Its main contents comprised Communication skills, Risks and side effects, Self-image and external image, Personalities, Cultural dimensions, Differences in male/ female interaction, Perception, Active listening, Verbal and non-verbal communications, Conflict competence and ability, Moderation and mediation as well as Communication and effects. The workshop was very well received by the participants.

The individual coachings focused on personal and career development, and it is being considered to continue with this format as an accompanying option for the following years.
