Successful application for second funding period  [16.11.22]

On 04 November 2022, the Senate and Grants Committee on Research Training Groups of the German Research Foundation (DFG) has extended the funding for the Sino-German International Research Training Group "Adaptation of maize-based food-feed-energy systems to limited phosphate resources" (GRK 2366) for an additional period of 4.5 years (01 April 2023 – 30 September 2027).

The Renewal Proposal for the Second funding period had been submitted to the DFG on 29 April 2022. The online review by a panel of five scientific reviewers and a rapporteur took place on 13 and 14 July 2022. Over 110 participants from Germany and China took part in the two-day online review.

An additional Research Subject (RS) 4.3, on “Economic assessment of future phosphorus availability: Impacts on agricultural and food markets at farm, national and global levels” (macro-economic approach) shall be added with start of the Third Cohort of doctoral researchers in October 2024.

The University of Hohenheim and the China Agricultural University are very happy to be able to continue their successful joint research collaboration for another 4.5 years. (see DFG press release)
